Looking for solutions to the problems of traditional sports throughout the world under the title “The Revival of Traditional Sports” and creating a road map to traditional sports, the International Ethnosport Forum was held in Antalya this year. Just like every year, state officials from many countries at the ministerial level participated in this year’s Forum. WEC President Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan and the Youth and Sports Ministries of the 8 countries who participated in the Forum signed the ‘Common Declaration’ in order to enable the development, support, and broadcast of Traditional Sports.
Palestine’s Higher Council for Youth and Sports Minister Jibril Rajoub, Pakistan’s Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination and Sports Board Chairman Fehmida Mirza, Ivory Coast’s Ministry of Youth, Sports, and Recreation Paulin Claude Danho, Somalia’s Minister of Youth and Sports Khadija Mohamed Diriye, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Dilmurod Nabiyev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Youth and Sports Azad Rahimov, Mali’s Minister of Youth and Sports Arouna Modibo Toure, Turkey’s Youth and Sports Minister Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu, and the World Ethnosport Confederation President Necmeddin Bilal Erdoğan signed the ‘Common Declaration’. This declaration goes down in the history of traditional sports as the “2020 Antalya Declaration of Traditional Sports”.
